Hi everyone,
I am working on a website since 3 months and it was ranking well till last week but suddenly its rank went down from 1st page to 5th page.Since this being my first seo project i am finding out if my site was affected by Google algorithm.AND ALSO PLEASE TELL ME VARIOUS WAYS BY WHICH I CAN BRING UP MY SITE.I have almost finished doing submissions on high pr sites now what to do further so that my site remains on first page?

Were you the only one affected? did your competitors get hit as well?
What did you do to get page 1? did you do anything super spammy lately?

It really depends, we need more details on the competition, link building, other keywords performance?
 
You're essentially asking how to rank highly in google. Nobody can give you one piece of information that is going to achieve this, as SEO is a combination of loads of different factors.

The best advice I can give is to look at and analyse your competitors links using OpenSiteExplorer.

Its a baby if it is just 3 months old website..might be a google dance..do not worry and keep increasing the authority of your site...
 
When i lost my rankings i tried to increase the average time of visitors by displaying recommended posts and changing theme
Then i blasted social signals and got my ranking back..
 
Your website ranking is being affected because you would have abide by the policies of Google Algorithm, otherwise this wouldn't have happened.

Make to use all white hat technique to get the previous rank.
Always remember that the spam links will not only affect your ranking in search engine but also hamper your website for further SEO efforts.

Truly,hold steady with what you are doing.
Do not overreact...ask around and see,with the amount of backlinks,bookmarks,G+,ETC.
Modern SEO is going pretty much white hat,instead of of the old black hat,that may get quick results,but will not last.
 
Can't go wrong with social bookmarks + google +1's + high pr links (blog comments, blog posts) + web 2.0's and some social signals, like twitter re-tweets. Just check out the link building marketplace, there's more than enough there to keep you busy. Just stay consistent and results will come :)
 
The question is quite ambiguous. I guess the best way to rank your site is always analyze your competitors and their backlinks. Watch out your content too! Only unique and fresh one will work for Google ranking!
Actually there are lots of factors and ways to rank bring up the site. Don't stop analyzing! It will give you more answers that you can consider ever.
 
dude get good quality links and maintain good anchor text ratios. its the key!
 
So, you need some good techniques. Keep building quality links with guest posts and go with social medias like facebook and twitter, etc..

IMHO these are all the best techniques to increase your ranking.
 
Check with your backlinks and try to get rid of any kind of low quality backlinks. Also quality articles and quality backlinks will help you to recover your ranking. Do check with onpage and offpage SEO as well
 
Check your backlinks and anchor percentages and then compare it to your competitors, that's the first thing to check.
also if you add your site to webmaster tools, you should see if google has flagged you up.
 
These points you should check now.

1) Did the site get any email from google webmaster? If yes, then the reason must be mentioned over there.

2) Please check all the backlinks : If any of the link is affected by google then you may get penalty as well.

3) Check out your competitors on page and compare it with yours, It may be a reason that your site do not have such good on page as others have.

4) Check out the contents quality as well, None should be copied.

Try out above things.
 
I'm a noob when it comes to this. Where can you check the rankings and such?
