Some Questions

Hi,

Sooooo....

I don't really like change much, and I love Blackhatworld as it is right now. However, I'm not one to complain, I end up just adapting to the change anyway. My honest opinion is I prefer the current BHW system, but again I wouldn't mind the change. I have a few questions which might seem like straightforward answers, but I know it's not fully completed yet.

Is iTrader being removed?
Will the thanks we've received covert to likes?
Will sticky threads stand out more than it does current on the beta? I'm guessing it will because people pay to have their threads stuck, at the moment it just blends in with the other threads more or less.

I do love the new thread page, it's much cleaner and looks better. Also, the quick reply looks far better now, and the fact you have a couple of advanced search features displayed as soon as you want to search for something.

Hover over thread titles is a very useful feature, great feature. Just wondering though if it can be disabled for certain sections such as the marketplace where 98% of threads will just display .

Would you be willing to change the way you can access certain pages in a sub forum. Currently, you can access the first 6 pages and the last page. On the beta you can access the last three pages. Maybe the first three and last three? That's my habit when looking at a threads reviews, comments etc.

Thanks for putting in the hard work, don't get me wrong because it looks great. I don't like change at the beginning but after a week or so I end up liking it.

Good move with having feedback only possible if a sale has actually occurred.

It would also be useful for BST owners to be able to 'feature' or highlight reviews in some way. It would stop the Copy and Paste spam of past reviews written in huge neon letters that some threads are prone to. Secondly, it would certainly make it easier for potential buyers gauging whether it's a sensible purchase or not. Now, giving this power solely to the onwers of the services would obviously cause bias. They'd bury the negative or honest reviews and 'feature' the most positive ones. Therefore, I'd suggest a rating or varitation of the 'feature' system for reviews available to other verified buyers. This would provide more weight to each review and prevent the honest ones being lost among the pages of transaction IDs and requests for samples.

It would potentially mean less sales but those sales wouldn't be misinformed and therefore be better overall.

Sir,
all the Itrades are not false, and every BHW members are not cheating here to achieve the Itrades.
Specially me & some other Respected BHW Members, we have earned our Itrades by our hard works... You can check it.

Whatever, we appreciate the New method but there should be a place where This Old Itrades should be Mentioned in No(s).

Please , don't make all our past works completely meaningless because of this New Method....

But if the market is going to be based on actual sales made does that mean BHW is going to be processing payments? How will it track? Which addon will be taking care of that? Maybe there could be both for the sake of what seozone3 was saying since the addon I linked can import itrader from vbul? It might even have more strict features. It would be helpful to know what will be powering the new market's features.

The itrader alternative acts much the same as the current iTrader.

We may consider running the 2 in tandem. Where you (the seller) can chose to checkout through the BHW checkout or just link to your service. If you chose the BHW method the feedback loop is closed so only paying customers can provide feedback. Think Amazon as an example.

The new marketplace will be a custom build. We've prototyped it but as per other threads it's not something we're releasing as part of the first release.

Since it's a custom build it would be nice to be able to add a tracking pixel or something to your site's checkout process that works with it. Either that or a way to have "Pay with BHW." I based my services I've been working on on Woocommerce Subscriptions. A tracking pixel would be the easiest way. Otherwise, people with sites such as mine would miss out until someone decides to code like BHW woocommerce payment plugin (Which I doubt would happen and would require that you expose an API to the market or IPN). A tracking pixel, since it's hitting your server, could verify that it's being hit by an actual logged in BHW user and redirect them to a feedback page or allow redirection to give the feedback. I suppose there are a few ways that could work. There's also the possibility to do something like payal's IPN where you give the marketplace a URL for each of your products to send order information to upon completion. That, also, unlike a pixel, would require custom code on the site or in the case of Woo and such the creation of a plugin. That would be better than exposing an API though as you wouldn't have to poll it or have a complex integration but it also means that checking out with BHW wouldn't give you a chance to upsell your other products and would mean a loss of other features as well. A lot of work was put into my site so that everything but support is automated. I'm sure many others have done the same. Of course if you had the itrader in tandem like you said it might make that all that a bit more of a non-issue. Just some thoughts.

Thanks for your thoughts FuManChu as mentioned above it's something we're working on. We've discussed the pixel option with a number of our top sellers and it's too open to abuse from the non authentic sellers.

We will finds a solution that works for all. Probably some type of blended option.

Any rough date as to when the marketplace custom build will be released?
