Some Questions for Account Managers

Hi all,

I've been building up my client base for IG account management this past year, with my primary offer to clients being growth in regards to engagement and followers, while they handle the content and posting on the client-side. I have a few questions for other account managers who may be in a similar position:

1. I am using IG proxies for all of my client's accounts using GMT2. All of my clients have "aged" accounts they have built up organically. When first logging in the software, I haven't received any of the dreaded EV/PV loops thankfully, though one or two have been a little "tricky" to get into from getting suspicious activity notifications that I have eventually been able to bypass. After some warming up, one of the accounts has received multiple action blocks associated with liking over the course of a few days. I have very modest settings so I know this must be a proxy issue. I'm about to switch out the proxy for a new one, but the whole process from action block to switching out to a new proxy has me a little nervous. The account has had no issues with follow/unfollow, and I just want to be as cautious as possible with future behaviors so as to avoid any further scrutiny from Instagram. My question is: does logging in through a new proxy cause attention to the account? And related: is it bad practice to have the client post content from their IP and to have me doing follow/unfollow and liking from the proxy? Is their a general consensus? The software I'm using (GMT2) of course has posting options, but I'd really like to keep the posting/content side of things in the hands of the client. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

2. Secondly, when "on-boarding" clients for IG growth services, I am curious what's everyone else's language when explaining your techniques? I tell clients I use software that is technically against IG TOS, but that I do so with extreme caution with regards to behavior and aggression of settings. I'm just curious from account manager to account manager how you guys communicate the risks involved to potential new clients and if you offer them any recourse in the event of any tragic outcomes at the hands of the watching eyes of IG.

Thanks. I was under the impression action blocks can often be due to a bad proxy, which was my assumption as I haven't been aggressive with my settings and was still warming up the account.

They can be, but if you're able to do other actions, it's not the proxy, it's your settings that are too high for that account. Each account is different, even 2 similar niche accounts, that were created at the same time; will have different limits for liking, following, unfollowing and so forth.

What proxy service are you using? Just curious.

I am under the impression we aren't allowed to link to them on here (could be wrong?) but I am using the proxy service suggested by GMT2 on their FAQ page

umm idk about the rules, but I found the company you are talking about. Do you use their residential proxies?

Also as long as the proxy you are using is close to the location of the account that is posting it shouldn't matter too much.

They offer proxies specifically for instagram there is a section on the website. The point you brought up though the issue is you can't pick where the proxy is located. Mine are US but not near where the account is originating from. I have thought this could be an issue (it brought up a suspicious login attempt I had to bypass) so I hope this does not bring unwarranted attention to the account... anyone have any opinion on this? Proxy not being where the account is posting from?

i have this problem at times but never found a solution for it as of now. i am still finding good proxies from my location but having a hard luck finding them.. i'm thinking of setting up my own setup somehow..
