hey
so i am planning to start using proxy servers and here some questions i have:
1.for vpn i know when you are using it if your vpn for any reason gets shut down your real ip will get exposed and everything continues with your real ip... i wanna know is it the same with proxy servers or you will get connection lost if the proxy server gets shut down?
2. i heard that proxy servers have ip and port and thats it... so how is it safe to use it if it dont have anything like password and username? can not you just type random ips and ports and join them?

1. If you need to 100% hide your real IP address, I think VPN that is much better for that, For its effective on all connection, HTTP proxy server that only works on HTTP protocol, so it's can not cut down, it's work for each session.

2. I think you're using public proxies, for private proxies that offer password/username authentication or IP authentication.

the thing is proxy is cheap and i want to use it for paypal stealth account and amazon web service stealth account and i dont want to spend that much for now...
for this purpose lets say i am in the website using a proxy server on the firefox to hide my ip and suddenly for any reason the proxy server got shut down i wanna know will i get connection lost or everything continues with my rel ip?

If you want to go full incognito, especially for Amazon or Paypal, you should get the best quality 4G mobile proxies you can afford (location: US) - firstly because US residential proxies have a higher trust rating and secondly, proxy servers mask your real IP details completely. VPNs also hide your IP address but platforms like Amazon and Paypal can recognize VPN IPs, so you're kind of giving it away that you are indeed an individual trying to access a platform with an IP otherwise shared publicly. This could in fact get you banned.
This is why 4G mobile proxies work the best in your scenario - these are dedicated residential IPs and provide natural cell phone signatures masking your own IP completely. Also, if you're buying from a reliable seller, these proxies do come with username and passwords, so you don't have to worry about security concerns.

1) What OS are you using? For Debian the connection will not work and it will seem link you don't have an internet connection.

2) If your using free ones I would not trust it.
