Do I need to install driver to use my laptop built-in wifi adaptor?
How about the USB port and other hardware.

You have to install driver for everything: wifi, webcam, bluetooth,...
You must use the driver from the manufacturer website.

Most OS now install a generic driver for most of the hardware on modern systems which do the job fine in most cases.
If you have any problems with a specific piece of hardware, you can go to their website and download the latest drivers.

I've had to install drivers directly from the manufacturer's website before. The one that my PC installed didn't work, but after I got it directly there wasn't any issues.

The OS doesn't come with driver pre installed.
