Some questions about competition

Hello, I bought MNF (magic niche finder) and tryed to search keywords with low competition. But I don't understand one thing. How exactly I need search?
Search prefix:
Allintitle
Allinanchor
Allinurl
So what I need to choose?
Second thing. "Search with quotes" what that mean, do I need this?

When I check for competition, I always check the first 10 sites in my keywords then see if I can outrank them. If yes, then I go ahead and get into that niche =)
