Ive been looking at creating a Private blog network and am looking for some advice.

From what ive read most people use expired domains with metrics (DA, PA and PR). The problem with these is they are high priced, so cant afford many at all!

Questions

Could you still get good results from RELATIVE domains with no metrics?

Also what is the minimum DA you guys look for on a domain?

How far apart would you register domains that I want to use as part of my PBN?

How often do you release new content on the blogs?

This is my Plan:
Have a few expired domains with metrics
10-20 New RELATIVE domains
20+ High quality web 2 blogs

Instead of DA/ PA just check the backlink profile. DA/PA just algo that try to give value to the backlinks.
So you can easily do it on your own on checking backlink profile and also a 30 second look in to backlink profile give you whether the site worth or not. you can use backlinkwatch to get up to 1000 backlinks.

I wouldn't buy domains that have absolutely no metrics and value just because they are relevant, what's the point than.

All links from a PBN site are reletive to the backlinks coming into the domain. If it has nont, then there is no 'weight' behind the link. Your link will still cound but the juice is minimal.

DA20+ always for me, also loo at TF and CF as a good indicator as to the trust of the domain and it's link neighbourhood

Just spread it out over a week or so, you will be fine. The content publication and indexing will mean they all 'appear' in Google's index at different times/days anyway

How often do you release new content on the blogs?

At least once per month for my private network and everyday for public.

Sounds good, a nice mix there too so not all high authority domains. Will be good to see how you get on with this.

Go for relevancy over anything. If you can find expired domains that fit your niche and have a back link profile to match, you are in business.

Here is a guide to help you find Expired Domains: http://doseoyourself.com/how-to-find-expired-domains/

Follow this and you can pick up some good domains for free with decent DA and PA

Are you planing to host the websites in different hosting company or have one company with different IPs?

I agree that DA 20+ is the way to go. These domains are worth developing because they pass good link juice if you can find them. I would not bother with anything below DA 20 and the higher the better - optimal is DA 30+ but these are expensive to purchase unless you are able to crawl and grab them for the price of registration.

Expired (dropped) domains cost the same as new ones so you may as well use those.

You don't need to buy domains with stats to build a PBN, this is a general misconception. You can build your own PBN from scratch and work on it as you go. Of course, this would take more time for the domains to become relevant, but it will save you some bucks and quite frankly, a lot of time.

Bear it mind it all boils down to money, so if you got a shit load, buy some new domains, put a writer full time on each and start building authority links to each... They will gain stats like fuckers, main domain will be jumping up high in no time.

And by the way, 20 DA is achievable in 2 months... higher/faster depending on your budget.
