Hi guys,

Im very new to the whole SEO thing but it's become quite obvious to me that this is what i want to pursue as i see a lot of potential in it. I live in and around countries where SEO is not that big and people don't realise the value of it, so what i want to do is assemble a sales team locally to go and find me clients, and i'll forward the work to good service providers here on BHW. I have a few questions.

- Can SEO be done for any site or is it just for any site or is it only for blog-based sites only (like wordpress)?
- Can SEO be done in different languages? if yes, i'll be looking for partners for different languages as well because that would increase our potential client base by 2-300%

- Can you recommend the best SEO, Traffic and Social service providers on BHW? I've done lots of research on here myself but there are literally heaps to choose from so it's a bit confusing. I'd love to hear your experiences and your recommendations.

That's all i can think of right now but I'm sure ill have more questions.

Thanks and i look forward to working with some of you.

This is the only one I have an answer for now.

YES, SEO can be done on any site. In fact, I always have the best luck when I use good ol' HTML (via DreamWeaver - the one they made in 2004!). It seems that the comments people have about WordPress being highly overoptimized are true.

Thanks Remington, that's great! Living in third world countries often means that many sites i come across are often quite old-school so good to know that something can be done about this.

Would love to know about the language thing as well since i could easily double my business if SEO is possible in different languages.

SEO is universal. If you are doing SEO for a local domain then selecting a local TLD like .ae for emirates , .ca for canada and stuff. Such domains rank well in their own country. You should read the starter posts on this forum. I cannot post urls here so you have to find it yourself.

Its not whether it can be done, but SEO has to be done on all sites if you are looking to attract organic traffic.

Thanks, will do.

Not sure if i understand, do you mean that SEO won't work if other sites in the country aren't using similar tactics?

No, what he meant is that any site that wants to get good traffic from search engines needs to use SEO. SEO helps search engines know what your site is about. The more active and better quality content the better, of course theres tricks you can do but they may not be worth it sometimes.

Oh okay that makes sense. So im guessing if i were to approach a company to pitch them my SEO services, we'd first need to do an audit to see what can realistically be done with the site to boost rankings.

Most company websites here aren't usually active, they just put some content on there and leave it be. Would SEO be useless for those?

Well, You can do SEO to all sites there is no any restriction. People do SEO because search engine can know your site from SEO so i believe SEO is most important thing for any sites. I can not recommend any person here. There are many people who proving SEO services you can choose anyone from BTW section.

Good Luck Mate... :)

Selling SEO is easy.
Selling SEO without setting the wrong expectations is more challenging.

I suggest, if you ever end up going down this path, you go apply for a sales job at an SEO agency and stay for a week or two so you can see what the training is like.

FUCK - I thought I was old school using a 2007 version, I bet no-one can beat my Microsoft photodraw from 99 though!
