Some MEGA @s$hole is trying to shut down my site

Bit of a rant, story here.

So as you may or may not know, I launched a new product called http://themoviehome.com last night. The Movie Home lets members download heaps of movies & TV shows. This product is on Plimus not Clickbank.

So less than 24 hours of launching this product, I get this PM on Digital Point:

after reviewing the site it looks like many texts and possibly other promotional materials and maybe content
have been copied from http://www.moviescapital.com/
We are an established company operating for many years with multiple connections and licensing agreements world wide.
Upon reviewing your site i have decided to send it to a legal team protecting our best interests for review.
We will also examine the insides of your website to see if any of our content and watermarked copyrighted titles have been copied.
In the past we have successfully initiated legal remedy and damages from an indivdual who attempted to copy from us.
I advise you at this time to remove any texts/content or other materials copied from http://www.moviescapital.com/.
Regardless your site has been sent to the proper legal councel to review.

MoviesCapital is this crappy movie download site on Clickbank that has existed for years. Their site layout is horrible and their movies are even worse.

My site is not connected to this website at ALL. My site has NOT used this site to help make our site. All our movies and the way our sites work are completely different. You can compare.

So this asshole, feeling threatened by the competition of a new movie site, is threatening legal damages? FOR WHAT?

I reply to him - "hahahahah good luck".

He replies

Further contact will be on a different level and via the registrar of the domain. We are now also contacting your host to take you down.

I'm pissed by now. Seriously pissed. My site has NOTHING to do with theirs at all. We aren't even on Clickbank! So I log in to Plimus and have a look at my customer's records because this guy says he purchased it. I manage to find his full name, and address, and I say to him -

"I see countless rip off report sites about your site Movies Capital, would it be a good idea for me to pass on those details to all those customers? What do you think Seth?"

His reply is hilarious.

"I'm not connected to Movies Capital. Their site has complaints , so do many other clickbank sites and i will not be happy with you posting my private personal info on forums while breaking my privacy as a "customer". "

I tell him to "GET FUCKED".

No response.

So basically this guy, who I'm pretty sure owns MoviesCapital, threatens to take down my site, then when I state I know where he lives, he back tracks and says he isn't connected at all! Fuck MoviesCapital!

step 1 is completed...step 2 commence (fill out a ton of email/zip subs, cpa offers, viagra offers, bizops, mobile submits, etc with his info).

i dont remember correctly, didnt you have a product on some skin trouble ?... anyways, another guy here, Erik Creed is facing a similar issue cz of some DP guy.. those DP idiots are never happy with their lives

If he refuses, tell him how to get fucked for a better life.

Clearly there is no legal action as you have had nothing from a law firm. Also as your content is clearly different he has no case

I bet the guy who tried to shut you down is also on BHW since I saw your thread couple of days ago that u dind't get approved by clickbank due the competetitors.

How else can he found your site and tought damn this is competition...

Sounds like he's just trying it on, trying to bluff you. Unless you have copied anything of theirs I would not worry.

Man... I got the same issue as you only difference being I'm in clickbank.

I launched a new clickbank account ps3manual.com last week (been with them since 2002) my competitor ps3lightsfix.com who has been with clickbank for 1,5 years posted a public thread on DP also calling me a thief and so on.

He has sent a DMCA to clickbank where he said "he refused to reply to emails" which is a LIE!

So I did my thing, I sent a DMCA to clickbank as well with proof of copyright ownership.
They said they might shut my account down by Monday if they don't hear from me. It has now been 48 hours and still waiting for reply from clickbank.

I don't know man but this all smells funny to me.

Hey I'm not an attorney but I have a long, long history with DMCA's and counter notices. I can help you negate the effects of DMCA and he'll just have no choice but to sue and since you did not copy anything, he will have no case.

I also talked to that Seth guy a year or so back for support.

I am very willing to help you guys out with nothing in return.

I'll also start transferring my campaigns to your site. Plimus is more convenient to me anyway. Checks suck.

Man these guys have nothing better to do than to start shit with the competition....it just makes me want to do 2 things first off punch the dumb f's in the head. Then fire up SB and hammer the sh!t out of his site with AA porn, viagra and bong shops followed by a big blast of the Blacklist over and over while I sleep. Why do soooo many people have to focus on bringing negative on them selves rather than put their time, thoughts and energy into positives like work and $$$.
