Morning All, Figured that I'd post in here whilst I'm browsing around since I haven't done already. A bit of background about me.. I'm in my late twenties and studied IT at Uni. I've got a good grasp on setting up and configuring WordPress and also knowledge in PHP, HTML, CSS etc. I stumbled across BHW when trying to look for ways to make money online - I spend a lot of time online, and my 9-5 job is not in the least bit rewarding or happy. There must be easier ways to make $150 a day. So far I've read a few of the methods in Making Money, and jumped right in. - I've tried selling ClickBank for a month, setting up a review site and then spamming my blog around through comments. Traffic on this wasn't great and the CTR was poor. My assumptions are that a lot of these CB products and sites come across as spammy and scammy. It'd have worked a while back, but I think most people are aware of this concept now. I did however make an Amazon Affiliate sale as I made up a Top 5 review for my niche - Currently I'm trying Instagram, however there is no direct money making opportunity as such as the moment. It's more gaining the followers which is a slow process, but I'm continuing to pursue it. I'm quite an honest person, and I always feel bad if I say I'm going to give someone something, and then just send them into a world of CPA etc. Sure, I'll do it, but when it goes to trying to aid with things like depression by selling stuff that probably won't work - sorry but that's over the mark for me. I'd like to take this as an opportunity to learn real skills too, things that can also be implemented honestly, and from what I've seen so far, it appears that a lot of methods require the ability to to rank site, hunt good keywords and then using this to promote CPA etc. Has anyone got any suggestions on where to start with say SEO. Is it best to learn how to build a site with complete on-page SEO first, then move on to off-page SEO? I imagine there's a logical process to follow, so any advice from experience would be great as a pointer.
