So, here's the story: I'm a 12 year old girl (I know I'm to young for the site, but after all it is BHW! :p And I'm signed up under my mum) and I am homeschooled at the moment (going through depression) which means I spend a lot of time on the computer. So, I thought, why shouldn't I be making some money?!

Here's what I do so far:

  • Survey Sites
  • Review Sites (ciao and dooyoo)
  • Adsense (blog that gets maybe 10-20 views if I push it a lot, maybe 1 if I don't :( ! )

I want to do some other stuff as well but I have no idea what would be good for me? At the moment I have no cash to invest and I can only do the real basics of HTML with a bit of help. Anyone got some ideas maybe?

Well, I have to say, you seem very smart and a great speller for a 12 year old. Might I also add, the bullets are very advanced for your age, as well as your abbreviations. Actually, your post is pretty perfect (amazingly). It almost seems like you are older, but I know you wouldn't lie about your age, so good luck! :)

Well you have no cash to start with but yeah u are working with adsense and sites so try posting as many articles by yourself to your blog and try making some $$$ with adsense wish the best to you...
 
Once you get enough cash I would migrate to ebay.

Then sell Ebooks etc.

As 2011NFL put it, if you are what you've described, you are a very smart 12 year old... which is absolutely possible, especially as you say, if you were homeschooled. I would say to get one of your parents to verify your story but honestly, that can be faked just as easily so we really have 2 choices: 1) Believe you are a fake or 2) Take you at your word.

I'm going to choose the 2nd choice - at least for now. Unless you give me reason not to trust what you've said, I will. But that's just me - every one of our members here that interact with you have the same choice. My advice - focus on what you are doing, not on your age. Members here have largely had it with "I'm 13 and here's my journey to $25 a day" threads. You can post something like that, just be prepared for the potential flack from other members.

My suggestions would be to take it slow - you've got time. Learn and earn over time... and don't spend all of your time on the computer. You are already homeschooled, which means you don't get the socialization that other kids do. There is an entire world out there - but it means going outside and discovering it. Meet real people in person, not just online - you'll become a better person.

PS. Whatever you do, Please be very careful about meeting someone online and THEN meeting them in person! If you are indeed a 12 year old girl - there are many people online who would want to take advantage of you - so be very careful with that! NEVER meet someone you've 'met online' in person without involving your parents!

and finally - welcome to Black Hat World - it's a truly wonderful place with some great people. You can learn alot here if you're willing to read and try (and use the Search box in the upper left... lol)

Thanks for the encouregment! And yes I really am 12 lol, I don't know what I would get out of it by lying? There is no real point of my parents comfirming it becuase, like you say I could easily fake that! But yeah, I am 12.

And I know not to meet the strangers from the internet and all that.

Has anyone got any ideas then?
 
Hmmm... 12 years old? don't you have to put in your year of birth when registering for this website... COPPA requires 13&up else needs parent signature...

12 years old and already breaking rules - have to say you've got a great time ahead of you on these forums

Lol its what this forum is all about! And I'm signed up under my mums name I just use the account instead of her.
 
Hiya, I haven't written 15 posts yet so I can't PM.
 
I've put in 2 eBooks to Amazon, waiting for them to get approved. I have Coping With Depression for $9.99 and one about how to publish and sell eBooks for about $3 I think. I would be suprised if I sold even one of each though!

There must be some ideas here guys? Surveys aren't getting me much money and I am saving up; going to put the money towards helping my parents buy a new kitchen hopefully, but this costs a couple of grand!

I would like to Advice you sincerely,
Try Learning Photoshop, Corel Online
After that Learn Some Web Designing / Developing
So that can secure an uninterrupted primary income for you
Dont just stop at Web Designing
SEO is Mother of All :P

So after 4-5 Years
At age of 17 You will be expert in these 4 Fields

And also I would say that socialize a bit but only with consent of your Parents
