Hey guys.

So I haven't used ebay for a good 8 years and a lot of things have obviously changed.

I want to put some stuff for sale, but since they are "virtual stuff" I'm not sure how to do it because there's the shipping issue.

Any idea how I should set it up, so that once a purchase is made I don't have to fill shipping info or there is no way around it? Basically is there some type of shipping that's free/or if I can fake it.
I'll be able to delivery the item basically right away, but to finalize the sale I'll have to "ship".

Also yes I'm aware it's against their TOS, but few of the competitors have like 2-5k sales, so it can definitely slip by if you are careful.

And I'd like to keep what I want to sale secret to avoid getting more competition, so I won't say what it is, but there's plenty of virtual stuff being sold on ebay, so I'm sure you get what I mean.

many sellers are selling a virtual stuff on ebay even our clients and nobody had any issues with selling or shipping
I dont know how exactly they set up their account but Im sure you can find this information even on ebay
and no ots not against their ToS

To complete the sale you would only need to mark the item as shipped. This option is available in the drop down menu next to the sold item.

Just be aware that without a tracking number you will lose all item not received disputes in ebay and any dispute opened in paypal. And you will get them from crooked buyers.

I can sell virtual thins without any problem like services & ebook & psd file sources and things like that etc .. ? !

There's no reason why you can't get a tracking number of an empty envelope. It'll help you win disputes.

There will always be shitty customers who will claim an item wasn't received. Cost of doing business.

Honestly I'm not worried about disputes. The issue I had was that after I got a sell I couldn't finalize it. Had no other option, but to actually physically send the "package" which was kinda strange. That's also why I was wondering if there is any way around it. Since I haven't used ebay in a lot of years I thought that they've made it impossible to not actually send a real physical package once done.

Might look into your suggestion, though instead of empty envelope I might as well leave a thank you note and add my site + some small discount like 5-10% for next purchase on my site for example. Not sure if it's against the TOS or not tho.

you could always send a evalope with it being signed for so the buyer has to sign something. but if a buyer wants his money back youll lose either way lol, he can just say the item never arrived, or missing item.

As I said I'm not worried about disputes. The issue as I mentioned was that I somehow managed to mess up my delivery settings in such a way that I had no other option, but to actually send a physical product to confirm delivery.
If I can manage to mark the item as shipped without having to actually do it as @Old Dog suggested than I'd rather do it like that, but if I don't have the option then the letter doesn't sound like a bad idea.

You can simply mark item as shipped, that's all. If something is wrong with your account settings, just call eBay to restore them.

just be careful with regards to paypal, if a buyer opens a case its extremely difficult to prove it was delivered
