So I am going to be doing something that deals with sales and I want to get some books on closing techniques or just getting the sale.
I have been in sales in the past so I know the process really well but now I want to sharpen my skills on closing the sale.

(1 sale means a lot to me because $$$$)

I have read many many books on sales and persuasion but someone on here might suggest something that I have never read before and I want to learn all I can. (Again, especially on closing)

If you go to torrent sites and search or Jordan Belfore, you'll find a whole bunch of videos that can help you with closing sales.

Yes I have read some of his stuff along with all the different techniques that are used by con-men and scams and how they 'convince' a person to do something.

Books that I have read include
    cult techniques to recruit people,
    crisis negotiation techniques,
    Advertising techniques,
Nonverbal Body Language, (haptics, kinesics, paralanguage etc)

Note that I am only reading all of these books in order to see what gets people to take action and because sales is what I really like doing.

Yes I have and its a good book.
I have read most of the books I could find on persuasion but I know that there are more out there that I have not found yet.

I really like the old guys like Zig Ziglar. It's not about body language it's typically about overcoming objections. If you can anticipate needs, give them what they need you'll be better at closing.

Here are a few simple ways of closing if you're looking practical advice.

"Assuming everything sounds good, is check or credit card easier for you?"
"I can have everything ready within an hour, is there anything we need to discuss before signing the contract?"
"Unless you would like an (additional item), follow me over here and we'll get this paid for and get you on your way home."

    Always assume the sale.

You can read books for days. Sales is about closing and to close you need to be offering a deal.

You got something to sell ? sum it up as easily as you can and offer people deals. Make them commit. I know a useless salesperson when they tell me how many people they spoke to or how many email submits they got today.

Thanks guys. I will take every suggestion into account.
I think that where I struggle specifically is:

    Telling them the price:

So far what I do ( I have had a couple of people to 'practice on') is to accept any and all types of payment and I break down the price to weekly amounts.

For example I might say: You can pay by credit, debit, check, etc. its up to you.

If they pay by credit I tell them the amount they will be paying weekly.
"You will be paying only $30/week ..... That is going to work, right? ..... Qualify.. .. Get them committed.....

I might have to buy some of that stuff that you guys listed.

Project open palms every once in a while...not too much you will come off as desperate....i study body language...you have to make good rapport at first...never look at anyone nose/forhead or hair it may make them feel uncomfortable...and this is bad if you want good rapport...you want them to feel as secure as possible....dilated pupils= Likesness.....Constricted=Not so much...

Firm handshake=Confidence...look straight in the eyes...because you should and anyone who doesnt look straight in the eyes when shaking a hand firmly is a fruit...no respect...first person to turn away is the submissive one...use this to your advantage...

If you want to sell something offline just go out and try to sell!
Every person is different and every situation is different.
Even if you read all the books the world about sales even if you see all the videos the world nothing is like the personal experience you can get for trying to sell face to face.
In my case what work for me is reading the books AFTER try to sell. This way i was able to realize what goes bad and what was god good. Then i try to do more of the good ad less of bad. No tricks - no shortcuts.

What kind of sales is it? You just need to reframe everything in the buyers perspective.

Before you discuss the price with them, start with what they are getting out of it. Name the advantages, get them hyped up on how well this will work for them. Slip in the price. You can even try something cheap like " Normally, this costs $65/month, but I am giving you a discount for (reason)". Something along those lines.

Yes that is what I going to do. I think I have a good idea of what I am going to do. I have an outline of the process down and I just need to put in more practice.
