Some good questions

I'm happy the OP humiliated me without realizing it. :) I laughed out loud. I did check out the links on lmgtfy before I posted the links... I'm also happy he followed through. I see a lot of new people that just get pissed when they're asked to search. "well, why should I have to search if you know the answer?"

haha, yeah true

Well, I got the "move your a*s and search!" but at least you have helped me, not like the others. Why would I over react when all you have done was to help me :)

Edit: Could a MOD/Admin delete this 1? I don't know what happened, 2 times posted...

I tend to get a little overboard with humor sometimes. I probably need to tone it down a notch. I think it really takes a lot of class to take it in stride like these guys did.

This board has some really classy first rate members. I think I need to start being a bit more professional in my approaches. :) Thanks for the heads up.

Complete understand you at that, I've done that as a joke/sarcasm as well since the question was all over Google and he mentioned he COULD NOT find it anywhere then again I guess language barrier in some cases will not allow people to understand what a sarcasm is or even if they do and you're right they will get mad at you.

On the other hand some people is really whiling to learn and go after even when you show then the way in that way.

All right folks. I read some topics from this site and I realised that I don't know a lot of stuff. So here I go with the questions, hope you can help me:D
  1. How do I get a "landing page"? Do I need my own site, hosted and with a domain?
  2. If I want to make money with youtube and ppd I know I should have some videos related to that niche. But what videos? Do I have to record any video or just search some online and upload them?
  3. How do I use CPA?
  4. What can I promote in... let's say lose weight niche? Ebooks with weight loss exercises and diets?
  5. EDIT: What is a content locker and how can I use it?
More to come guys if I need. Thanks in advance for replying :)

I remember several weeks ago when I was asking some questions a bit similar to this. Since that was fairly recent, I remember how it felt to be asking questions like these. From my point of view then, it felt like I was actually stepping up to take action by trying to learn the things I do not know. That was how it felt. Looking back, I know that I was asking to be spoonfed.

However, I also remember Amsterdammer answering my questions before giving me a scolding so I'm going to pay it forward.

1. I assume you already know what a landing page is. No need host it yourself and no need to buy domain. However, if you take this route, your site will look less trustworthy and few people will probably do what you want them to be doing on your landing page. There are cheap domain registrars and webhosts if you have a couple of bucks to spare. Search the forum for these.

2. Only a few people will tell you what their niches are. I've read a lot of threads here. Most people won't tell you what exactly they are uploading because then you will be their competitor. Some people open threads revealing their niches. I don't know if they are truthful. As for stealing videos or creating your own, best to create your own. Steal if you're too lazy but it might get removed, flagged, etc. , there are more risks. There are also risks when creating your own video but less risks than when you steal other peoples videos.

3. This is a very broad topic, my suggestion is to go to search function of this forum, search for CPA and open results that start with "[Method]", "[Guide]" or "[Journey]" choose what you can understand best and try to do what the people there are doing. The hardest part is knowing where to start. Start where they start. Oftentimes people reveal more on later parts of the thread. This is because a lot seems elementary to the Original Poster and then someone asks a question and opens up the conversation for answers to more noobish questions. Do a lot of reading.

4. Again, most would not give you their niche. You'd have to experiment on that on your own. Although some would say that any niche is profitable. [OFF-TOPIC, slightly related] I'm actually doing a fun experiment by naming a babe site after a vegetable just to see if it will attract more, less or the same visitors as my main babe site. Will share when I have definitive results. =))

5. Never used a content locker but I've researched it before so here's my 2 cents. In the simplest sense it prevents users of your site from accessing the content until they do what you want them to do. Most of the time that "thing" that you want them to do is complete offers from affiliate networks you belong in.

How does this all mix up? Let me give an example so you can get the general idea. I'm not doing this so I don't know if its profitable. Just so you know how these things work.

The russia meteor seems to be getting popular every minute. Steal a video and upload it on youtube. Put relevant tags and all. Boost with enhanceviews, vagex, or just promote it by linking to it from all over the internet. Somewhere in the vid, put a link where they can view "ACTUAL BODIES that got slaughtered in the meteor blast", needless to say, I don't know if there are any that got slaughtered in that. I didnt bother to check. The link goes to your site with your content locker which mean that they can't view it until they complete the offer. If they complete the offer, you earn. It's something I thought about a while ago but I'm going out to drink with my buddies so I probably won't implement it. Also I don't have any content locking software.....YET. Would be nice if I see a BHW member make money from this. Oh btw, cloak the links on some form if you can. Search the forum why if you don't know why.

Seriously, who wouldn't want to see unreleased to the pubic, videos of deranged bodies of the blasts victims? You can say the government covered it up or something.

Now the scolding part:
Good for you for taking action to learn what you don't know but if you stay in these forums a bit longer, you'll find that taking action, most of the time, means having the initiative to find the answers on your own by searching the forum or googling it. It also involves doing your own testing and seeing what works and what doesn't and testing your own limitations, skillwise, budget wise, and etcetera-wise.

Anyway, I'm not much of a scolder. I do hope you have a better idea of the things you were asking about earlier. Good luck to you.

At Furious George. LMAO. I laughed so hard. Especially at the part where you were sincerely being thanked. THanks for that mate.

Thanks mate. So as I managed to figure out, looks like facebook pages have content locker too. "No comment bla bla, click like to see the picture", right? :D

No offense to OP but all the first replies told you to do a search. I think Furious George was initially taking the piss (he is a good and helpful guy but that is what I thought) but you repped and thanked him so that basically says you are not smart enough to do a google search. Again I am not trying to offend the OP as I consider myself to be newbie and I do try to help people when I can but as the information Furious George provided was contained within Google searches hopefully OP will make Google his first port of call in future.
There are very helpful people on this board but also before asking for help people should try to help themselves first.

Respect and Good-luck to all.

Not sure about facebook. I haven't seen any content lock software on it. But then again I don't really use facebook that much. Anyway, the idea behind a content locker is to make them complete offers, sign up for a mobile phone trial, download something, answer a survey, etc. which would generate money for you. You'd have to join some affiliate networks which would pay you once these people do what you want. If you've ever tried to watch something online and got a survey form before you could watch it, you'd know what i mean.

No offense mate but I think content locking is too advanced for you at this point. still, if you want to get more ideas, check this thread...

Don't worry I am smart enouth and I got the idea of what George did. I didn't like it BUT at least he took that time and tryed to help me not to say "it was discussed 500000 times before/go and check/search/ bla bla bla". The search button is A VERY IDIOT THING because (let's say I look for PPD) it finds post where "PPD" appears just ONCE and in a comment. Search content locker, you know what will you find? "Here use content locker." - well thanks, but wait, I don't know wtf is that (now I know)
