Some forums are pathetic

Not this one at all but- I signed up to a forum to put my ebook in my user signature and post some reply messages and what do I find a couple hours later?
Yeah my signature removed and my reply messages removed and a message in my inbox "read the forum rules" first so I message the bloody mods saying what is the point of having a signature if you remove links?

Also I said tho them that my ebook is absolutely 100 percent targetted to your forum users.
SO absoultely no reply whatsoever afterwards from the owners or mods.

what do you expect - you went straight in and start linking and promoting - if you want to do this, try and stay off the radar (i assume your forum was linked to your niche) , few posts aswering etc (CONTRIBUTING) then post your link another day when your rep is verified as a valued forum member, if it is essential you are a member of this forum, otherwise move onto another forum.

You need to remember since the inception of Xrumer, forums are having the balls spammed out of them with profile link building so mods are wary of newbies.

I had my link in signature and commented on the thread accurately not mentioning anything about my ebook or signature
If they dont want signature links they should disable them

yes, like I said you put your sig on advertising your ebook - this is why it was removed not because you didnt spam the forum post directly advertising it!! - remember any post with a sig on it is as good as putting an advertising comment directly in your topic post... just make some posts if you need to stay there, then drop your sig in later on otherwise to soon and they will just see you as either:#

a: spammer
b: competition

If you are either then you are never going to get listings with you ebook sig on so just find another forum that will allow you to do what you want.

I've learned becoming a donor on any site really helps.

I became a donor on a cosmetics site to open up selling, and cash came pouring in. You get what you put in.

Yeh, agree with this young lady. OP, ask the forum management how much you can pay them to get your signature displayed "prominently". I heard you saying that your site has plenty of food for their members, paid food, of course. Pay them monthly and ask them to get your link in spotlight!

aren't making the most of there site, and here you are with a product lined up and all
this IM knowledge....hmmmm. If they haven't disabled all sigs then I suspect that
they have their own stuff they want to push, but don't know how. Great, more $$$
for you, just sitting there, waiting for someone to scoop it up.

I have forums too and I'd ban you if you were a new member trying to sell something right away. But I'd let you LIVE if you had allready made like 20 informative posts. LOL

It takes time to build a successful forum, and when people come in just to sell something it's like someone is pissing on my doorstep. No respect =Ban :rocketwho
