P.S. Got this from hugelol.com

P.P.S. Yes I know, you guys only post a status update or tweet for "marketing" :D

Partially, this is true.

I've seen / met people that are addicted to this shit so much.

Congrats, Zuckerberg, you made Einstein's fears come true.

World has gotten one step closer to the end...

I'm thankful I'm not this stupid..

The people nowadays have nothing better to do
God help us

Thanks MT and lakim0

I often wonder how our children, and our childrens' children are going to
have social interaction which leads to creativity / good health etc..
instead of this constant bombardment of "everything virtual"
and the need for "now".

So yeah, perhaps the time is now, and now is the time to reinforce a change in attitudes,
lest we become that "idiot generation" to which Einstein referred.

Food 4 thought indeed :)

I was in Japan when smartphones were taking off which was a good few years ago. I used to be amused at how into the phones the Japanese people were. Everywhere I went I would see people glued to their phones.

I had to be careful if I decided to run across a street when there was a red light. As everybody else at the traffic light would be glued to the phone and when they saw me making a dash they would presume that the lights had gone green and follow me.....needless to say panic would follow.

fast forward ten years and its pretty much the same over here...technology is more addictive than crack.

Yes mobile phones have completely changed my life. Years ago when I went to the pub with my girlfriend I would be buying her three vodka and cokes to every pint I bought, but these days I buy two pints to every vodka and coke she buys due to her head being stuck in Facebook.

It's terrible. I'm glad to say I don't spend nearly as much time on Facebook, or my cellphone in general, as I used to. My biggest turn off is when I'm on a date and the girl decides to pull her cellphone out and start texting other people. Maybe I'm just really boring in person :\

I think you made this thread to satisfy the child in you

You...you may be dating an alcoholic.

In regards to the picture:

Older Generation: Do as we say, not as we did or continue to do through our inability to grow up. Why are you so entitled and believe you deserve anything?

Youngins: I learned it from you, dad.

Don't worry the techno implants will be arriving soon from Crapple and we can all be connected to one another 24x7 our entire life. I'm not kidding, this will happen during your lifetime and you will never fear being alone again.

Frankly, my best moments in life are when I am unplugged from the grid and away from the sheeple.

I had to look up this quote for Einstein and while I agree with the sentiments it does not appear to be attributable to Einstein! Sorry OP, I really, really wanted to use this!

I made this thread to share this nice "infographic" with BHW members.

It's cool that some of you actually took it as some food for thought and shared your own views and experiences with it (though they are mostly sad ones).

But hey, taking the "balanced and healthy lifestyle" aspect out of it, it's only doing good for marketers...right?

So in a way...we should be "liking" the chaos. (?) It's a lot like cigarettes. The Government can't just "shut the industry down" because it would somehow ruin everything.

The smartest will bank from it, but stay away from it (or consume it in moderation; I'm talking about the social networks again).

Guilty myself of not spending enough time with my children when they were young. Harry knew what the hell he was talking about.

"and as I hung up the phone it occurred to me, my boy grew up just like me"
