1) Is a health forum harder to rank than a Internet marketing forum ? I heard about blogs that in health niche , only authority and big players rank.

2) Suggest me free and paid platforms for running a forum in Hindi.

You are from India ?

I don't know about health forums, but health as a niche gets punished the most by google.

Health-related sites that do not demonstrate expertise aswell as authority or trustworthiness (E-A-T) may be penalized, especially if they provide misleading or harmful health information.

  1. Yes, the health niche can be more challenging to rank due to high competition and Google's emphasis on authority, but with the right SEO strategy, it's still possible to succeed. In contrast, the internet marketing niche may have more opportunities for smaller players to gain traction with innovative approaches.
  2. For free platforms, you can try MyBB and phpBB. For paid options, vBulletin and XenForo are popular choices that offer more advanced features for running forums in Hindi.
Good luck with your forum project!

If your info doesn't align with the mainstream pharma, google will nuke it sooner or later.

What about health forums ? The answers there are from users like you and me. How will Google treat such content in health niche ?

Create some fake users for this forum. Like doctors and health professionals. And reply questions with those users, make sure those answers are 100% accurate. I guess it can help boosting your forum reliability, you won't want to be seem as a forum of gurus talking about conspiracy theories and pseudoscience

Cons;

Forums may be ranked lower if they provide misleading or harmful information.

Consistently inaccurate content can lead to penalties that reduce visibility.

Google may assess the reliability of user-generated answers, impacting the forum's ranking.

Google might label content as untrustworthy.

Google often highlights content from established health organizations over user-generated content.

Pros:

Forums that consistently provide accurate information from verified sources may see higher rankings in search results.

Users may be more likely to participate in and trust discussions that reference credible sources.

Demonstrating expertise and authority through verified sources can enhance the forum's overall E-A-T

I mean overall, it depends on what is posted and how Google reacts to the information that is posted

Exactly comrade, the best way if you don't got enough experience is just to fake, and get fake doctors that are *verified* professionals, I mean who is gonna ask the doctor with a checkmark and hundreds of likes? Who wants to see a Karen saying that the holy stone will heal your cancer (Joke btw)

Oh, running forums. I love that.
Free? Everyone will say (including me) , MyBB , phpBB3, SMF , but there is a great FORUM software named IPBoard , its awesome ( or was ) i used years ago and was cool.

Its more hard to customize than others because as it is not too much chooseable for the devs to start forum communities there is not too much info about it but is awesome you should try it.

Paid : For me , just two. Xenforo , vBulletin.

with the right amount of traffic you can rank anything. Take this forum (BHW) for example: it's a forum that was initially created for black hat stuff, and doesn't google hate and penalize black hatters wherever they catch them? And yet, this forum ranks fine for many keywords and google doesn't give a rat's ass because they're the biggest whore on the planet: they'll sleep with whoever makes / gives them more money... figuratively speaking, please don't take this literally :)

You can create forums in the hardest or most impossible niches you can find, but when you start getting popularity and have millions of users google - like they big whore they are - will have no problem ranking you. And the EAT thing (as I saw someone mentioning this on this thread) will be out of the window too. Google - like the biggest hypocrites they are - always brag about, and penalize sites in the health & medicine industries for not having expertise, trust or authority but google's retarded generative AI recommends people to put glue on their pizza to make the ingredients stick. So yeah... that is google for you: always with rules for thee but not for me...

Health as a niche is less broad and harder than iternet marketing. It will result in less visitors than an internet marketing forum. You could do it with wordpress and elementor.

Yes. The health space is very competitive, and many large, authoritative, and well-funded sites already rank high. This includes brands, healthcare providers, and government organizations.

Health is one of the toughest sectors to rank.
