Some basic questions about landing pages

Currently, I am promoting email submit offers on 7search PPC through direct linking. I read everywhere that I should also test it through landing pages.


So, how do we get people to sign up through landing pages?
Is it like 7search --> Landing Page --> Offer?
Is landing page always a one page website or it may have more pages also? If possible, Please suggest a newbie friendly resource where I can read about landing pages for CPA offers.Thanks for the help.

A landing page is simply a page where a visitor lands after clicking on an ad. It can be connected to the rest of your site or not. For example your home page could be a home page and a landing page.

Some things to remember in your situation:
-make your offer compelling enough that someone will want to trade their info for it
-make the action you want visitors to perform easy and simple
-Don't make your conversion process long or ambiguous

Shawn above has some very good info for you. I would like to add one thing which is you should always look to build a list (collect their emails first).

Landing page is just one page.
You can find free landing page templates online and as for writing good headlines, just google copywriting and you'll find useful blogs that cover this subject.
