Good evening all,

I just need some advice about the best transferable skills to learn in maybe a 3 to 4 month period which will help to gain a second income or secure some sort of remote work possibly on Fiverr.

I’m in my 20s and I currently have a job which pays well whereby I’ve managed to save up roughly £30k through just purely grinding. I’m currently planning to invest that (which is a different matter, any ideas?) but I have a lot of free time at work and I’m not looking to waste it. I aim to learn a few skills and use that to start a side hustle. I’m very determined to succeed, so what would you recommend?

I’ve been reading this forum for a bit now, so I know you lot are probably sick to death of these sort of threads.

I appreciate any advice/guidance

Hi @MiaSanMia

No one can answer your question and be precise 100%.

The best possible solution for you is to start somewhere, for example, affiliate marketing, and go from there.

Get to know how things work online, check some free course/tutorials, basically, you should spend your time on searching and learning so you can get some knowledge, after that test different things so you get experience.

That's how it goes in general in our life, we see things we would love to learn, we start the learning process, testing, failing, testing, failing, and so on.

What is that so far that you feel is getting your attention online?

What is that you feel comfortable with?

When it comes to investing, please be aware of who you listen to, it's easy to get your adrenaline up, a lot of misdirection online so, always be aware...

Feel free to ask questions, hang around BHW, you can learn a lot just here.

you can learn WordPress programming and setup, content writing, digital design (logo, 3d rendering, etc). It's all down to your skills. I suggest you look through Fiverr gig categories to find one that you thik suits your skills/abilities and then start learning about it to reach a level where you can sell your skills.

Perhaps start to ask yourself what you're really interested in? From there you can start to develop your new skills. For example, if you love to write then content writing might be the answer for you and so on.

It's impossible for someone else to tell you what your interests are.
For just making money you are already there.

Anything that turns you on
Preferably, something like content writing or web design

I think the only one who could know how to do it is you, if you don't find anything I suggest you follow a bit of journey of various users on this forum.

I agree with this 100%. The question may sound easy to answer. But it is not. As someone in 20's, you should not be afraid to try new things and find your niche. If you can find the right answer. You can invest in whatever amount of money & time you have.

You will be able to dig a lot in the world of the Web developer or writing for example. Or Virtual Assistant.
