Some advice on domain name

Good morning all!

I've recently purchased a site in a booming industry. This site was previously used for lots of things, including an ecommerce and auction site. It receives approx 25,000 uniques a month.

My question is, the actual domain name is a bit shit, so I was thinking of buying a new domain and redirecting all the traffic from the domain I've purchased. I'm hoping to create a new forum/community.

Would this be a bad idea and have an impact with the traffic? Or should I just use the current domain.

Yes, Its a good idea. Buy a new domain and redirect the traffic to new domain.

It's ok, you can redirect to get the link juice from it

Is still OK but then make a great choice in the name you want to purchase
