Hi everyone.
This week I tried to access an old Instagram account of mine (2017). This account was heavily used with Massplanner at the time and I had a lot of blocks and PVA request until one day when my password was not working anymore. I left it and almost forgot about this account which had 11K followers.
This week, I tried to reset the password for this account but I never received the mail. After 10+ try I made a simple google search and found the solution on reddit. I was able to receive the mail and reset my password in less than 5 minutes. I hope it will help you as well.
Here is the solution :
As it comes, Facebook is the owner of Instagram and in reality, all emails are sent from Facebook servers. So after lots of browsing, I went to my Facebook account -> Settings and privacy -> Settings -> Security and Login.
Here, find the setting Get alerts about unrecognized logins, set it to on and add your email account you use on Instagram and which is not getting delivered emails.
What will happen - Facebook will send you a verification email to confirm that you have the access to that email. Once you validate the email, go back to your Instagram account and now the password reset or account verification emails should be sent sucessfully.
