What software do you use to open up large text files that are over 2 gigs? I'd also like to be able to remove duplicate lines of text as well.

Should be able to do that using regex with python

I am using Notepad ++ for opening such big files. It's working as a charm. Make sure you have downloaded the 64-bit version.

Notepad++ or Atom.

Sublime Text. I wouldn't try it with Atom since it's Electron based lol

large text file viewer is good when just viewing but notepad++ is pretty good if you are wanting to edit.

Whatever you go with it will need to be the 64bit version so it can make use of the ram required.

This editor here: http://www.sweetscape.com/010editor/ will open up to 50GB of files, its a full editor.

In case you just want to view the file, Hexeditors can also handle extermly large files.
