    Hi,

So we've all at one point or another wanted to know how to effectively index our backlinks, be it profile back links or comment back links left on blogs, etc.

I have read about some people believing pinging does the trick, and some saying it has no relevance. I have read about it a fair bit, but still have not come to any hard concluding evidence, and honestly (as silly as it may sound) I am a little busy at the moment to try and really aggressively test any of these techniques.

Say, hypothetically, I wanted to index thousands of blog back links every day. What would be the easiest, most straight forward and most automated way of doing this?

Thanks for any and all help,
    Krzysiek

Thanks for your post. Going to have a read now.

If I get the blog URL crawled though, that's enough to get my link on there indexed (and also will be indexing everyone elses links on that URL, I suppose)?
