Software recommendations to edit videos for TikTok?

Looking to start re-uploading videos from other platforms, but I need to manage how to change the resolution so TikTok fits .Maybe also trim the clips if needed, nothing more in terms of functions. Any recommendations?

Premiere Rush is one of my favorites. I think you need Adobe CC but it's perfect as it has just enough functions without needing to load the full premeire pro.

If you want to process bulk videos:

Try https://ffmpeg.org under Linux. There are many tutorials available how to crop, cut, convert videos.

Yep, you can do this with Python also.

Exactly, you can call the FFMPEG functions with Python, PHP, C, C++, C#, nearly everything.

The suggestions above are great but I've heard Tiktok prioritizes the clips recorded and edited inside the app, videos from other platforms won't get much exposure as far as I know

You can easily change the aspect ratio of a video using any video editor. To do this, you need to press "edit", "proportions" and select the proportion of 9:16. If the roles are shot horizontally, you additionally need to turn it over to a vertical position. You can also change the size of the video using a program to compress it.
