So I saw a powerseller with like 1300 feedback, and 98% positive feedback. There is a piece of software I wanted that says full-retail, not pirated, special academic pricing.

Do you think it is true? Do sellers on dhgate ACTUALLY sell the real thing just nice and cheap?

ALL software on dhgate is fake. Check the price, if its around the same as the other software on there, its fake.

All the software on DHgate is fake, never believe the descriptions, ask the seller by using the ask the seller link! He/she will tell you its fake!

Steer clear from DHgate. It's been foretold over and over again how scammy they are.

They make things look great, and you get a bricks when your package arrives.

:usa:

Well I asked the guy and he is saying that it is the academic version. From what I hear you can sell academic as long as you disclaimer only students/educators can purchase it.

The academic label would explain the discounted price

dhgate has been getting a bad rap around here. I would stay away from it.

NO. Dont stay away from dhgate, just BE CAREFULL. Dont buy branded products and always ask the seller questions first.

Most of my purchases from dhgate have been positive.

However, Ive had a couple items burn me but the profit from the other items easiliy covered my loss.

Mehjoe is correct, you should ask the seller alot of questions.

I don't have any direct experience with DHgate BUT when I was at Uni we had a little thing called the MSDN AA (Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance) and it basically allowed us to get a single, legal, registered copy of a very good selection of MS products.

The products included a bunch of different windows versions, a couple of different visual studio combinations, office and a bunch of other stuff relating to programming.

Even though you could only apply for and download a single copy, the page that generated the serial numbers was refreshable and you could sit there all day refreshing and copying down all these serials, I had about 20 for windows XP alone at the time.

Now Im not saying that this guy is legit but it is very easy to get student licences for some software depending on the arrangement the college/Uni has with that particular company.

Read the thread in the longue section that he got scammed of $2k on dhgate! In last he got his money back by contacting police and scamnet.
