Is there a software (or method for using proxies) to simulate an improved click thru rate with one's website on the first page results? I've noticed specifically by buying PPC my rank goes up in Google every time, mainly because my page's CTR goes up a ton. I've also simulated this with MTurk and seen boosts. Wondering if there's a software to scale it and what the recommended levels are.

Ummm... seems like an obvious question, but, why not just make your page title better than those around it, such as would encourage more clicks?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - simply off the back of good CTR, you can climb from the bottom of page 1 to the top. And you'll stay there, as long as visitors don't quickly leave your site after clicking through.

Great point, and I am very familiar with A/B testing but how would you know if a specific title made your link clicked on more? What if you accidentally made your title worse and then it dropped lower and because it dropped lower the click thru rate became even worse?

There are bots/services/sites for this but Google is getting better at detecting the fake clicks. Its not without its risks. Do the safe stuff first, then if that fails think about clicks.

Common sense and logic.

Dont forget also that your page 1 competitors are unlikely to be optimizing their page titles - so even if yours is slightly better, you'll win in the long term.

I would suggest you should invest in some cheap PPC Programme. Google tracks bot visits some times and decreases the rank of the sites !
