Hey people,

I've got my first site running and just getting adverts and my ebook on there. Anyways after that it's gonna be a question on ranking this badboy. So I have seo power suite, but should I get scrape box and just start banging out some backlinks? I would buy other software but I can just about probably afford sb, but I still shouldn't in my cash situation but hey, I'm gonna make this work and the investment will be worth it!

Any other suggestions or should I just get SB?

Cheers folks!

While I believe that scrapebox is a good piece of software and a nice choice as your first one to buy I would not buy it then start hammering your site if your goal is to rank well. You need a good mix of higher quality links if you are going to rank well.

Build or purchase some nice contextual links and use scrapebox to backlink those links instead of hitting your main site directly.

Ok i see, so I'm guessing contextual links are for example an article on a relevent website that also includes my sites main domain link? Then I back that up with backlinks?

AMR is a good first choice if you're looking for tools. Even auto accept article directories are a step above xrumer profile backlinks or scrapebox comment backlinks because the links you get are related and in content. later on get scrapebox to blast lower quality links to your AMR postings.

That's good advice, I think it will be quality over quantity with panda! I'll check it out!

Definitely start with AMR (Article Marketing Robot) or something similar to generate 'content' embedded links for your 1st tier...

Then you can run the spammy links at those.

ScrapeBox is a must have for any serious SEO, but it can be a machine-gun in the wrong hands if you're new to this.

Pay more attention to avoiding over-optimisation with a new site. Don't over optimise your keywords/titles/link-anchors etc. There's a bit about it here: http://www.backlinkbanzai.com/SEOBasics.php#OO

And build your links consistently (but not too quickly) on a brand new domain. Push up the velocity bit-by-bit and monitor the rankings bounce carefully.

Thanks very much I will keep that all in mind, and yeah what i`m thinking is i`ll get some articles out there with AMR, then i`ll just manually build some backlinks to those articles. Hopefully this will get me off to a good starting point!

One thing to mention: change your mindset about Scrapebox! You don't need to go full auto 30 round clip blowout on using the damn thing lol. You *could* use it to comb for, and find high pagerank websites that are within your niche AND have low obl's..read the blog, and then comment intelligently and get those bad boy linkbacks to stick.

Voila..using a greyhat tool in a whitehat way and benefitting..who'd thunk it?

Haha, yeah after much researching about the panda update i`m thinking spamming the crap out of everything is no longer the way!

I`ll get AMR first, then Scrapebox and some others after I`ve made some cash! But yeah, I`m gonna do it with articles!

I was debating whether to get sb or amr frst - thanks for help
