Socks Escort - Any Experience?

Hey Everyone,

Noob here, so greetings!

I've just installed a proxy software called Socks Escort, and I'm having some trouble getting it to work.

The software locates a big list of IP's in the US for me, however, whenever I try and connect, then use a browser the browser just says:

Establishing Connection

Then times out...

I read the thread 'how to setup proxies on different browsers'

I'm a total noob at this, and have no clue where to start or what else I should be doing.

Can anyone let me know what I might need to do to get this working please?

I'm running Windows Vista on an old laptop.

That software looks out of date.

Yea..but the software seems to work ok. It finds IP's and does this blacklist check on them. I really think it's something to do with my computer, or my browser setup.

not sure about the program, is it for finding socks proxies? anyway, you need to pay attention of the different proxy types, if it's a socks proxy, you need to configure your browser accordingly, how to do this? i'm pretty sure you'll find guides about this all over the place, maybe even video tutorials on youtube

or it easily can be that the proxies found by the software aren't working at all, hence the timeout
