Hey Guys,

Wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if its in the wrong section.

I want to create 10 networks of social networking profiles - each network will have a/c's for Facebook, Google, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, PoF etc. This is all very new to me but I have been doing a lot of research on here and other BH Forums and have come up with the following plan of attack....

1. Get a second (Win7) PC and install 10 instances of VMWare or Virtual Box (using Windows XP)
2. Buy a Private Proxy for each Virtual Machine
3. Set up various social networking accounts on each VM
4. Then switch between different VM's and act as a normal user - so no bots or automation

OK so that's the plan, before I go ahead I need some advice on a few issues...

1. Will a normal PC with 4GB RAM be able to handle Windows 7 and 10 Virtual Machines ?
2. Is Windows XP the best OS to use or is there a better (Linux?) option - assuming I really only need to run a web browser ?
3. When looking for proxies what should I be looking for - I figure they need to be private proxies at the very least - do they need to be UK proxies if the profiles I am creating are UK based ? anything else ?
4. If I'm running different networks under different VM's I presume I don't have to mess about deleting cookies ?

Anything else I have forgotten or should know about before I start ?

Thanks in advance
David

if no bots or automation you don't need VM, my suggestions:
- use multi profiles firefox with "--no-remote" option and set cache dir manually with browser.cache.disk.parent_directory, with this option all cache, cookies and other data is private/standalone except flash plugin data is shared.
- use socks proxy with different C-Class or better use B or C Class (IP class: aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd)
- disable Flash plugin (some sites store cookies via flash)

Thanks for the tips ewwink

Would still like to hear more about best use of Virtual Machines if I ever decide to go down the using bots route
