I've been looking into reselling social signals (like FB likes, Twitter followers, etc), as there are several BHW sellers who sell them for pretty cheap. Almost all the resellers I can find are selling them at a massive markup and, if they're selling volume, they're walking away with a TON of money for almost no work, besides the initial setup. A quick Google search shows several sites already doing this, but their SEO strategy doesn't seem too aggressive, and a lot of the sites look like crap. I don't think it could be too hard to create a good-looking website, get a group of sellers together (in case one doesn't work out or whatever), and create a site that sells all sorts of social signals for pretty good markup. So I guess my question is...what's the catch? I know it's against these sites' ToS, but I'm not involved in social media anyways, so losing a FB account I don't have isn't a big deal. Besides, if I hide the registration details on the domain and hosting I get, it's not like they'd be able to find me anyways. Is the market that saturated? Are people just not buying social signals? What's the catch here that I'm not seeing before I dive in and spend a chunk of time developing this idea?
