Social Posts - FCS Networker. Best Practices?

Trying to wrap my head around social posts. Never tried it, always hated it, know full well it's required but don't know what a good social network is.

Currently using FCS networker to manage my social networks (or lack there of, I've only created the accounts thus far).

What is standard practice for maintaining a good social network? Link out to random sites in the same niche and then throw in your links every now and again?

If someone could tell me the best practices of social networks.. that'd be great.
