Social Networking promoting help.

My post on white hat seo is not getting any more replies,so i will try here too since thats the thread for Social Networking.

I made accounts and tried Tumblr,Pinterest and Stumbleupon...i only got 2-3 visits (in 2 days) from Stumbleupon and Pinterest i think. So these doesnt seem to work for me.

Reddit is the only one that worked,a lot of visitors,but just checking some images and then leave. I read here that you cant expect much from there,stupid or to clever visitors (use ad blockers) and stupid mods. I found out myself how stupid etc the mods are...one of them reported me for almost no reason and then he sent me msgs lol bye bye etc. Im already back though...

I made a twitter account but i dont know how to promote it and get followers. Nobody followed me from Reddit (i have a link on my website too).

Any suggestions? Btw im not interested in paid methonds and my website is about celebrities photos (not gossip).

Social media is a business, not a way to make spare change now. The biggest publishers don't make a few thousand, a few hundred thousand, but they literally make over a million dollars a year off of their accounts. Many more publishers make 5-6 figures. They are constantly re-investing buy purchasing promotions from each other, and growing their reach.

I'm sorry but to get somewhere on social media, without wasting unbelievable amounts of time, or using spammy methods to mass unbrandable accounts, you have to spend $$$$.

Twitter is this way, so is Instagram now, although Instagram has more wiggle room for botting, etc. Tumblr is a little easier to get started as is Pinterest, but the process is expedited much by having other large accounts promote you.

If you want to make money without investing, be prepared for a long road, but everything you need is here, start reading...

Everything depends from each persons goals... For a very small amount (like fiverr gigs) im willing to pay.

By promoting i meant to just add a few more followers. Some people use bots,follow trains etc.

Bots on Twitter really don't do you much good anymore, at least not like they used to, in my opinion it is just too risky, and you have to have an old account.

Follow trains are spammy, and with Fiverr gigs you get what you pay for.

Yeah i read the advantages-disadvantages of bots and follow trains. Plus im already in a site for pinterest-tumbrl likes-followers and it gets boring and doesnt help much.

So any other options? Only fiveer offers cheap options?

You need to start with the basics first. There are lots of guides that you can get for free if you just search for them.
Planning your strategy with a clear path should be your first step.
I have a few guides if you would like them and have a look at my slideshare slides which is the template strategy i use. This will help you breakdown who your targeting and how you convey that message in an easy way.

I dont want to open a new thread for only one question,so can someone tell me here what is allowed and what is not on Tumblr? self-promoting,linking to your website in every post,ads,etc?

Its the only account i kept,i deleted Stumbleupon and Pinterest because they didnt seem to work and probably i was already ghost banned.

Yeah i know it helps a lot and it makes things much easier,but i want to keep it simple for now.

Btw im still waiting a reply about what is allowed-not allowed on Tumblr...come on i dont want to get banned.
