Hi guys,

So I have not much of a Clue about social media marketing. I have a drop service website (basically a gov service that I drop service) and I'm getting there slowly SEO wise. But I realized there is a lot of potential for me to also utilize FB groups and subreddits. How would you proceed to utilize these fb groups and subreddits? There is dozens of groups in which the members NEED that service but....90% of the people will know that it is not the official government website and that it's just a drop service website. People will downvote or try to remove my links. Should I Spam the hell out of it or is there a smarter approach? Appreciate every tips!

To promote such a service on Facebook groups and subreddits without coming across as spammy or untrustworthy, you’ll need a subtle and strategic approach.

That's exactly the problem, I'm not really worried about anti bot mechanisms I'm more worried about coming over as spammy and not trustworthy. These groups are kinda niche and not that big 5000+ members or even less. Maybe it would be an idea to contact the owners to purchase these groups. Anyone got an idea how much fb groups go for? I highly doubt they're monetized in any way.
 
To avoid Facebook deleting your link, try cloaking the link with another conversion link to bypass Facebook. As for spamming, I think you shouldn't do it. Space out your posts and comment instead of posting a topic to avoid being reported by users.
 
Like @Vendes said, I don't think that spamming is the right choice here. I would recommend you to try focusing on building trust and providing real value in the groups. Look after conversations you can jump into and where you can genuinely help or offer some advice, and use personal stories or examples of how your service has helped others . Do not forget to read the group rules and check if it's allowed to self-promote.

Social media marketing doe not work that way you may be restricted or reported for spamming
Kindly let's talk about that
 
Do your work on many different platforms instead of just using Facebook. Because Facebook is the place with the strictest monitoring mechanism. As for sending spam, I don't think it's the right choice because you may be reported or restricted. Focus on building trust and providing real value within the team.

you should advertise cross-platform this will be much better with traffic
 
Instead of directly promoting your services from the beginning, you should focus on creating value for the community first. This is a very effective approach in building trust and helps you avoid being seen as spammy

You should follow the reviews to know specifically about the detailed information of customer needs.

You should build a portrait of potential customers and determine their needs before advertising.
 
It’s totally understandable to be unsure about social media marketing, especially for a niche service like yours.
 
You can use hidden links to avoid facebook deleting your links, don't spam to avoid facebook suspicion
