how important are social media links on PBNs to make them look legit and is linking to 3rd party social media accounts OK or is it better to set up fake accounts to link to?

I think it is must to make PBN look like real website and making own social account for that purpose serve the purpose and will be good if manual review happens anytime

You have to make PBNs look as legit as possible and linking social media account will make it more like that. Google is very aggressive with their actions against PBNs.

Social media covers a wider area where crawlers may come in. It's a good idea to consider social links for PBN.

Social links , just make sure you pbn is indexed

OK, so everyone agrees that PBNs should include social links. But would the benefits not be offset by the danger to get caught setting up fake social media profiles?
Is linking to legitimate 3rd party social media pages an option even though they belong to others but at least are legitimate?
