Social Media Addiction- FAMILY PROBLEMS

you can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves. Just back off and let him be, maybe one day he will realize what he needs to do

Holy hell this thread is ridiculous. Here we have a goddamn brother who is just looking out for his sibling. You guys are denying that there is an agenda to keep the youth stupid, scared and sluggish like demonstrated by the OP's brother? There are hundreds of thousands of children like this. "Let him live his own life/dream" Absolutely, but that's not his own life / dream, it's been programmed into him and the rest of those children to widdle away at meaningless shit and not create anything in their lives. It's so that there are more worker bees than thinkers, and it's fucking scary... not something we should all just "go along with" Truthfully I wish I had a brother like you growing up janonymousone. Who told me to get off my ass, showed me the reality of how much of a loser I was being and put me fourth on a path to actual success.

You deserve a high five for actually caring this much about your family, something that less and less people do in this greedy rat race society.

Internet marketing is not for everyone. Just because he likes to connect with other people through social media doesn't mean that he wants to make money while on the computer. Personally, I would sign him up with adfoc.us ($7 per thousand visits) or ad5.eu (~$9 per thousand visits).
Non Referral Links: ad5 adfoc.us

Ask him what his hopes, dreams, and goals are. Then if you really want to help him, you can help him reach his goals. Maybe he is feeling lonely and social media is his way of interacting with people. Have you asked him what he always wanted to do with his life and if there is anything he feels a passion for?

As I said before, I'm not forcing him into IM, he should just get up his ass and do something, learn a few skills that could help him.

In my country, the unemployment rate is so high, it's almost impossible for an average graduate to get a job, so having some skills here and there would increase chances of being employed

Is he depressed? The depression rate does go up when there is strife going on in one's country.

Just Let him do what he likes,at the end if he feels like he really want to do programming he would do it,but if you force him even if he had a little bit of interest it will be vanished.SO Just let him do what he wants to do in life.He he doesn't get serious in life,he is going to suffer and today or tommorow he will realize what you told. But forcing anyone to do something is really bad i even i hate such things.

Some are born to sell....some ar born to buy...if u know what I mean.
