Social Locker for Social Signals

Hey guys, Im new to SEO. I have read around and realised that social signals seem important for a website to rank. I am in SEO+PPD and i want to build social signals by locking the download button with a social locker. I plan on buying the onepress social locker for $21. I drive traffic from youtube, social media sites, etc.

So would a social locker work well? and help my site rank better?


Side Question: Can you maintain your ranking position on google on social signals alone?

It will give a boost , but you will require links to rank really well . And don't use this software on each and every post , just use it on a very few posts else your bounce rate will be very high.

Does the bounce rate affect ranking? I never read about it. Also I think my bounce rate is already high because my traffic is directed to specific pages, very few will check other pages.

Ah i was hoping it would help with SEO, even a little. Ill try out the free version.

I use social lockers for most of my ppd sites but im usually not thinking about ranking those type of sites.

I bought it and use it quite effectively. I don't lock all the content and I just lock only 25% of the content, but that 25% is the part that most people want to use. I would say about 10% click like/share, etc. Then I noticed that my traffic from the social networks has increased significantly. I can't say that the bounce rate has increased all that much, maybe just a few %. But the site I used it on has very helpful information that people are actively looking for. The pages are inner linked really well and people often look at more than one page. I don't use it on every page, but where I do it's very effective. After buying it, I would say that the free version will do the job just as well. The only difference that I use it for is the theme and a few extra share buttons, but nobody clicks those ones anyway.

I made the social locker say some stuff like "We make this website for free and would love it if we can reach even more people. Please help us by sharing, etc. etc."

P.S. I haven't noticed any rankings increase, but for most of the pages I rank #1 anyway. Some of the pages that don't haven't increased their rankings, but 'real' social signals never hurt, so it's a great plugin in my opinion. Just use it wisely to maximise the likes/shares, etc.

It works great for social signals provided you have great content people are looking for. I am using it on my blog since a long time.

It depends. Google always updates its algorithm and we never know if your ranking will maintain. Just hope and see.

don't force on visitors! or they try to find alternative place
