I add about 4-8 articles a day, although I have not been adding them to any social bookmarking website for ages.

It is helpful if at least 5 or more social bookmarking links are made for every link/article and frequently done?

Less than 10 social bookmarks really generates traffic. Others (thousands of social bookmarks) don't.

It would depend upon your content quality. But yes, for good quality content, certain popular social bookmarking sites can get you good referrals.
