Hey guys,

I'm new to the whole social bookmarking thing. I was thinking of bookmarking a few yahoo answers posts I've made to get them higher in the serps.

How do you go about bookmarking something? Would I use the yahoo answers url as the backlink? What should I put as the description seeing that it's not going to an article or site but to the question/answer page?

Do you think social bookmarking is the best way to get the yahoo answers to rise in the serps?

Your help is very much appreciated!

You better buy a bookmarking service like $10 for hundreds or so bookmark site.

What do you mean, a link to bookmark ? you should use a link that has your post stick on.

What should I put as the description seeing that it's not going to an article or site but to the question/answer page?
Anything that relevance to the topic with your target keyword on it. Do worry much about this.

Any link building method is fine to rise in serps and bookmarking is one of them.

If you want to raise your Yahoo answers pages with bookmarks, treat them just like any other backlink on a bookmarking site.

For example:
Where is asks for the URL - put in the Yahoo answers URL

When it asks for a title put in the subject of your Yahoo answer - Best Way to Get rid of Acne

For the description, put in a sentence describing what the Yahoo answer covers

And use your keywords you want to rank for in the tags.

Will it raise your SERP results?, it is gonna depend on the bookmarking site. Personally I would toss in some blog comments and articles (with your YA URL anchored in them) on Web 2.0 properties for link diversity.
