Can someone tell me why everyone seems to be using proxies in order to create a dedicated user account for each site they submit?
Isn't it way more natural and better to use 1 account for the submission of multiple sites? This way you wouldn't risk the banhammer of the sites do you?

I can imagine creating a few to somewhat make it relevant to a certain niche, but in the end it's only natural you have a variety of sites to one account?

I don't understand your question?! I'm using proxies because I want to make more accounts on one single website to submit my article. I think that more users/accounts means more votes for my website from different persons.

ah yes I see the logic in that scenario.

What I was talking about is the scenario that you have multiple sites that you submit to your list just once. Most people seem to be creating accounts for each site, and that's what I am wondering about.

From my point of view the problem is that a lot of social bookmarking sites have a user page which has all the submits done by a user.

Say you have a money site, a link pyramid with 3 tiers and some wiki links. Their structure is all good so it doesn't leave a footprint, BUT a link to all those pages is found on each of your social bookmarking accounts page.

I believe in the pyramid link building style, every next tier should increase with more links to it, so more accounts are a small price to pay.

    yes I see..

What would you recommend if you would do this service for clients sites?
Would it make sense to wait till you have a few sites to do and submit them in one go (to one account) so it looks more natural (by having multiple sites) or would you submit them one at a time.
