    Hey guys whats up?

Im kinda new to the social bookmarking stuff, and while im not interested in building backlinks, i want to know if i use a mass social bookmarking tool like social marker or bookmarking demo would bring a good amount of traffic to a website.

    Anybody experienced something like this?

    Thanks

It depends on your niche (might work for funny / sexy pictures for example) but in most cases the direct traffic will be close to zero.
Social bookmarking will increase your traffic indirectly though (because your SERP will improve a little bit).

There are also cases, and this depending on the share, when a link on social bookmarking (like stumbleupon) can go viral and then you can have a really big spike of traffic, but usually lasts for a few hours, or in rare cases a few days.

Most of the automation tools submit to mostly low traffic sites.

Manual bookmarks to high traffic sites (delicious, etc) will get you some traffic but the traffic does not convert well. They are good links for SEO though.

I've seen some traffic from Reddit, StumbleUpon, and Digg. But unless it goes really viral, like earlier posters have mentioned, it is short lived.
