So, Why are there so many banned members?

I have lurked around here for roughly 2 years, and honestly I can not figure out why so many old posts have banned people in them. I have to hand it to the moderators, they must be very attentive of this site, but it seems like the only way to get banned is to spam or to rip someone off. Is that basically the reason all these banned people show up in threads?

Also members having thousand of post and with donor status are in perma ban..so i dint think spam is only reason.
 
As you may have already noticed, newbies are often banned because they were spamming the forum or because they were trying to scam other members. However, there are numerous rules on this forum that members both old and new fail to read, and as such they are banned after repeatedly breaking rules in a short span of time before their infractions expire or for breaking major rules such as leaking information out of the Jr. VIP+ sub-forums.

Senior members who have gone rogue and members with high post counts have been banned for similar reasons as well. After all, post count doesn't mean as much as most members think it does as there are some members who try to inflate their post count in order to appear as if they are an authority figure on this forum.

If you're curious about how a particular member was banned, try performing the following search as there's a chance you may find the reason.

And yes, the moderators do an excellent job of keeping the forum clean. :cool:

Definitely spamming and scamming are two of the major reasons.

Thank you for the attentive reply. I looked into a missing member this way earlier with this method and found nothing which prompted this post. (sorry I removed most of the post. No URL posting rights) Was just making sure I was on the same page as everyone else.

Under my point of view, most of them are people who saw how their IM income went to zero and the only chance left to make money was using their "account reputation" trying to scam other members. Think twice before you send money to someone promising you the sky.

By leaking info out of the Jr VIP+ sub-forums its just stuff that is exclusive there and not mentioned anywhere else that violates the rules? What happens if a member accidentally posts something that in public section of BHW, that they saw a long time ago in Jr VIP and forgot that they had seen it there?

I believe scamming is the no 1 reason why people get banned on here, check the shit-list and see if your friends name is there OP :)

The rule is just that you can't leak any information out of the Jr. VIP sub-forums, it doesn't go into detail.
 
I never understood the concept of post count inflation. I'd much rather use the metric of Thanks to posts than actual post count. That's what I typically use on other forums with features such as that enabled.

Of course, this board is skewed by posts not counting in high-Thanks locations such as the Lounge and Downloads section.

Wait, so people that give a good download and I thank them, they do not get any credit for that?

Doesn't seem like that would be too common, but I bet there has to be a few higher ups that have 'infiltrated' the Jr. VIP section and shared it on other sites.
 
Rules

If people dont read the rules and follow them
then you get ban.

i want to no please admin or mods afther warnings what the set time
them warnings are know deleted.

e xample i got x2 warnings how long till my warnings
are gone and forgotten back to 0 worries.

i want to stay as a good user, can i get my warning count
reset please.

I don't think they just remove warnings if you ask nicely.

To see when they expire, go to your UserCP and scroll until you see "Latest Infractions Received". The first thing you will see next to each warning is when they expire. It's usually six months.

There are some rules and who will cross the line of course he got banned from here.
