So What's Selling on Twitter??

I have the tools to get mass amounts of followers but the offers I am promoting ain't doing shit. Webcams, dating, how to pick up chicks stuff, blah blah blah. So I start doing a little research and come across this article about a fricken pizza place making money off twitter

I guess you can't just post a few links and then spam the shit out of twitter and expect to get results?? looks like you have to cultivate it. I'm so not a gardner, I like wam bam thank you maam! I may have to break down and do the cultivation thing but I'm wondering if there are any wam bam thank you maam ideas that work. Put up a shitload of profiles with a few posts with links going to the offer. What kind of offer would a Twit user click on and then take action immediately? I get clicks, but evidently I'm not offering the right thing...

I'm almost thinking twitter is worthless... I spent $250 for twitter friend adder pro, have spent the past 3 weeks creating accounts and building followers, and spamming out CPA offers. I make about 2-3 bucks a day with 100 accounts and about 2-3 HOURS of labor per day! I'm doing "email submits" (I completly gave up trying to get anybody to actually buy anything). I got backgrounds, head shots and the whole shot. Its just all a bunch of damn hype if you ask me.... I gotta say there is 1 particular email submit offer in a real odd niche that I 'nurture' and that is the only reason I'm making the 2-3 bucks a day cuz almost ALL my conversions are coming from that 1 account and that 1 offer, everything else is shit.... (I've tried about 15 different offers, and only 3 of them have had ANY conversions)... The only one making money on Twitter are the people who sell twitter software and ebooks I think. I think I'm going to write an ebook about my $3 gold mine 'method' and sell it for $27... of course I'll add a few 0's to the end of my earnings and I'll probably make a killing!

Twitter - Think of it like satellite t.v. You have so many channels for different users, but once in a while... a peculiar channel you dont ever watch grabs your attention. For whatever reason.

even targetted free offers dont convert too well. competitions however... well if u have been watching twitter when squarespace and moonfruit trended you would realise that tweeple love competitions.

alot of people want followers always wanted to know if selling ebooks on how to get followers would work, the theory seems perfect.

Well in the last 14 hours or so I have run an automated twitter campaign, not targeting anything specific, here are the three things offered in that campaign and results...

- Giving away something free, email submit ($1.25 a lead) - 885 Uniques 7 Conversions
- AN ebook that sells for $39.00 - 1038 Uniques 0 Conversions
- Sign up for a free newsletter (0.50 cents a lead) - 805 Uniques 1 Conversions

These were all offers on the same twitter accounts, so the total uniques was ummmm 2728 for this little test... this was a totally throw shit against the wall and see what sticks, no proper tweeting or anything, just wam bam thank you spam. I guess I am gonna replace the two clunkers with similar free givaway offers, but damn I would love to how can I make way more money on all those hits.

I've sold a lot of things on Twitter. Only with a few accounts as well. From Twitter products to diets.

The trick is to add people by searching for real human keywords. If you search for "lose weight" then you will end up adding all the other spammers/diet magazines/shops/clubs/experts etc as friends. If you search for "I feel guilty after eating this fatty sandwich" (Just an exadurated example to get my point accross) you will find real people that want to lose weight.

Also, I never post a single link until I reach 1000-2000 followers. Even then each link I post is 1/10 to real content.

Finally your ad copy... Every time I see somebody pluging a link on Twitter it sounds horrible. You need to make it sound as if you are recommending something to your friend rather than selling. Don't say "buy this", "check this out", "I just made $300 with this". Say: "After speaking to Emma the other week about this diet -link- I've decided to give it a try. Had a strange feeling my tummy but im losing weight" (Just an example to get my point accross)

Finally. Someone who gets it! Seriously guys read this over and over again. The amount of times i see people adding people related to the "make money online" niche and then complaining about no conversions is ridiculous. If you target "Make money online", how many real people do you think talk about that in their everyday tweets... Yeah none. So really you only add other marketers and your all tweeting the same product at each other.

I understand all about that, and I totally agree, I was just exploring the wam bam thank you spam idea... make mass accts, send out mass follows, using trending topics, etc... So I guess it's just 100% junk traffic then? Can't do one single thing with that kind of traffic??

I'm also doing what you're talking about...

You need to get 80K uniques/day ..that equates to $800/day with zip & email offers according to your conversion rates. That's what the pros are doing. A couple hundred hits aint gonna do squat. Considering how many users twitter has I'm sure there are ways to get 80K uniques spamming it with just an hour or so/day of work. Dictionary attacks on established accounts, for example (Twitter probably fixed this). The ppl selling yo usoftware ran into the same problem as you, so they realized that could make more money selling scripts than spamming CPA.
