The title says it all. What was the key reason for you entering into the murky world of Internet Marketing?
Were there bills that needed paying? A burning passion that needed satisfying? Or a curiosity that needed answering?

For me personally, I saw a friend making $$ and thought- 'I want some of that'.

Share your reasons...

- I want more free time, and the freedom to pursue whatever I want, regardless of how it pays (music, art, a craft of some kind, etc.)

- I want the freedom to live wherever I want and not worry about whether or not I can find a job there.

- My current job is extremely stressful and I don't like the idea that I'm busting my arse to line the pockets of some fat manager just to get a few pennies to pay rent.

One of the only ways to have a successful website in this day and age

Because I can get more money than my friend in full time job!

Hmm... I think I stumbled upon Shoemoney's site from somewhere totally unrelated... nothing to do with even trying to make money from Internet.. Curious by nature, read some articles, bought (yes, f**k me...) a clickbank product, opened my eyes, found bhw :)

Not freedom (I like my job and it's really free, not your typical 9-5), not the money, just the endless possibilities and chances to be creative. And easy to measure the success of your creativity - it's the $ that you bring in. It's all about challenges with no pressure for me.

Im not a full time IM'er either, just a student making some extra $ on the side

I happened to read a post in Wafo, and was like, "I can do that and it would make me a lot of money." I could, and it did :)

Economy took job, wife had massive "widowmaker" heart attack, no insurance, had to have defibrilitor put in her chest, $100,000 in debt, $1200 per month in medicine needed each month, all savings gone, but hey, she beat the odds.

My love of 40 years, the girl I took to my senior prom, is still with me.

One day at the funeral a Cross was handed to me. At that point it became obvious to me that I am the Holy Knight of the Sacred Prophecy and that I shouldn't be doing what other mortals are doing so I quit my job. Since then I'm living with my mother...
