Weebly was one of my favorite web2.0s to use.

yup :( been that way for a while for me. Apparently its IP based, not sure though - ive allways needed verification past 3 months or so.

Nothing new for me :)

You mean needing phone numbers is nothing new, or you mean there is nothing to for you regarding Weebly (eg. you still don't need phone numbers)?

Is it IP based? I noticed some other people were reporting the same thing a few months ago but for me it just started today.

Proxy?

Is there a way to bypass it? Can you get free phone numbers somewhere? Can you use the same phone number more than once?

I make a lot of Weebly sites so this is kind of messing me up.

It's definitely IP based. It doesn't ask for the phone number from a US IP from me, but will ask for it if my IP is from other countries. Damn you Google/Gmail and your trend setting ways!

Weird, cuz I'm in the US and I have a US IP.

Yeah you can use pinger.com, Google Voice, the iPhone app 'Burner' there are a lot of options out there to get around this.

Get an IP of a third world country and it will never ask you for phone verification again (for obvious reasons), but your sub domain may end up on a shitty sub-network.

Cellphone verification is not new term for us. Every network should add this verification to earn trust from serious person. As too many people are using weebly is make their new site so its must to stop spammers. I think they should add password renewal service next.
