To start, I was in the Stock Market about a year ago. I had done crazy amounts of research into penny stocks specifically. After some work, my parents decided to open a $500 account for me to see what I could do with it. They said if I paid off their $500, they'd let me keep whatever I made.
I had both lost and made money in it but was sitting at around $470. I was fine because I had some money in some stocks (specifically one sub-penny stock). I had purchased $50 worth of shares for this stock at .0001c per share. For those of you who don't care for doing math, I owned 500,000 shares in that company. Around 3 months ago, my dad told me to put all of the money into one company that uses 3D printing for organs and stuff like that.
Recently (yesterday), they went through a 2nd IPO (basically calling all investors to look at their stock) due to their new product and closed doors after I already had the shares. I looked at the stock this morning to find that they had sky-rocketed since I left. I'm not going to say the exact price because it was around .0625. Long story short, if I would've waited, I'd be sitting at more than $30,000 right now... Win some, lose some I guess...
