yeah,.. the last one was Klingon..
I had this Forum on my To-Do list for quite a while now (actually,.. about two years..) .
Many, many moons ago I was administrating communities on the "darker and deeper" side of the web, when I met a girl.. and the rest is history (also the girl).
Unfortunately due to the German finance authority and the f**** up system over here, my former company was going down. Slow but steady.
("A lemonade stand? Since two days? You owe us 20 K, the name of your first child and your signature written in blood, bish!")
So I decided to sell online and put the earnings in my company, which worked until the government decided that these marketplaces now have to report every account with more than 30 sales and/or more than 2000 € turnover.
I was devastated and even reconsidering going "dark and deep" again after more than 10 yrs, so that my employees, which became a little bit like family in all these years, don't have to apply for welfare.
Yeah,.. well,.. Fought the law, but the law won.
The second I became aware of an inevitable end for my company, I was ready to go dark and deep once more..
..but not that dark.. and not that deep. 'Cause.. family, responsibilities,.. you know?!
So, I googled a little and found this site. I contacted the only person from the old times I was still in touch with and he, coincidentally, recommended this site, or rather barmaley.
Got in touch with him through Telegram. Really nice guy. Arranged a price. All set up..
Less than a month later I wasn't even able to pay him anymore..
Gave my employees a last gift (better them than the gov) and folded up the shop.
So, that's that. Took me some time to build up the strength to start something new.
But here I am.. without a clue what's happening, but ready to suck up the information ASAP and do smth with it.
Worked in sales, did SEO, product pictures, marketing-psychology and many more.. A little bit of everything.
Someone 10 to 15 yrs ago told me: "You are like a Druid. You can do everything, but you are not good anything." (Just found out this is about WOW.. welp.. thought he meand Star Wars for the past decade..)
ADHD résumé to the fullest.
I'm good at doing very deep research (people, competitors, prices, scraping, social media) etc. - that alone, not helpful at all.
If someone can give me a hint on where to start, I'll be more than happy. Otherwise I'll just stick around until Eureka-effect punches me in the face, if you allow.
