If you dont have anything to add with value, why bother posting?
If it's in a thread with an actual guide, it can be one of the few times that post bumping is actually useful. With a lot of guides, even if (or especially if) they're very well written guides, there's not always a lot for people to comment on. And if there are no comments, then the thread will just end up getting buried.
The way that BHW is set up, it can be difficult for people to find guide threads in the mess of daily shitposts, especially considering that each one of the 16 "how do I make $10 per day" threads that are posted daily are each going to get 20+ comments (i.e. bumps). Even though "thanks for the guide, OP" adds no new information, it gives visibility to an actually helpful thread so that others can see it. If you come across a useful guide that still works that hasn't been bumped for a while, it can be worth dropping a post so that others can see it.
With that in mind, if there were to be a crackdown on those kinds of "thanks for the share I'll try this later still working thanks" posts, it would be good to have a better way of finding guides.
@Zwielicht mentioned in
@Asif WILSON Khan's https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/closed-bst-section-in-the-marketplace.977667/page-2 that there is a https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/this-is-a-suffix.864605/ on BlackHatWorld that is currently unused. Adding an official "GUIDE" tag + a custom search by post prefix would be one good solution to the issue of guides getting buried. That way, people can actually find guides without needing people to bump them with all of the "thanks for the great post dear" clutter.
I mean, what? Oops. I guess we're just shitposting here. Ignore the actual forum suggestions above and look at this shitpost.
