I posted my advert post on this forum and attached my contact details.
I idly searched for myself and was surprised to find that someone was copying my contact details to scam people, and when I used another account to pretend to be a buyer to talk to it, he even sent me a link to my advert post. It's abhorrent!

Yeah, got to get use to it. The internet is full of a bunch of scammers.

Exactly. They're trying to sell to me 24/7!!! I'm a scammer scamming myself through scammers.

This is one of the KEY ISSUES with telegrams, competitors/bad-actors can easily impersonate to you, and you have no one to report to.
This why, many others are all the time mentioninig to be-aware of scammers on there BTS threads, or on their websites.

You can use WhatsApp BUSINESS, it might be easier. Also, you can connect WhatsApp business to services like Front/ZenDesk to provide better support to your clients and categorise issues by IDs.

Now I see why Telegram Founder is now in custody, lol

I think any business that has this contact information can be checked, they usually add a letter at the end of the contact information, and some change the avatar to the same

There is no way to avoid this, so just let the customer click on your contact link directly. Scammers are everywhere:anyway:

You can use skype with an "add me" button on your thread, or whatsapp with a rented phone number & again redirect user from your sales thread, and add a disclaimer to warn users to not search for you but use that button.

Something else I've seen sellers do here, is to initiate sales through BHW, then give your TG later on the conversation to confirm identity.

Buyers have to prefer PM before going to Skype or Telegram.

Afterall these liars have such knowledge on scamming, why dont people (buyers) learn to escape such scams.?

Stop. Selling. On. Telegram.

It's the only way you can protect yourself and your clients from such scammers.

It's your responsibility as a business owner to make sure that your clients are not being scammed trying to buy from you. Build a website, sell over email, PM... There are endless ways to sell that are not Telegram.
