So, can we just clarify that you don't have an explanation for what "replaced" actually means? Or do you want to take another stab at it and actually answer the question? Maybe you can give an attempt to explain how you think that one variant replaces another. Paul Joseph Watson seems to believe that you just let it run wild, and it will automatically "replace" other variants. That's, of course, not how anything works, but maybe you have a better explanation.
I'll try again.
Basically it's evolution, we are seeing natural selection. We have a set number of people who are capable of carrying covid either by limit of the population size or by the fact many have antibodies by now.
Each variant needs to find new hosts to spread the virus, therefore it's beneficial for viruses to be highly transmissible so a more transmissible version of the virus (variant) is highly advantageous.
If we have a country with 1 million people and two variants, one with an R rate of 1 and another with an R rate of 5 obviously the R5 virus is going to spread 5x faster and go through the population exponentially quicker.
We start with 1 case each:
Red = R1
Green = R5
They begin to spread:
Then this 5 with an R rate of 5 begins to get a serious jump in numbers while R1 virus never really gets established:
And then we have an interesting moment, R1 variant has run out of people to infect... R5 variant has not infected everyone but R1 variant has nowhere else to go.
And with nowhere else to go it can't spread, it's been "replaced". R5 variant can great out of this population and head to the next town or whatever but this is what is happening when we say "replaced".
Covid-19 SARS-2 was replaced by delta because delta is far more transmissible. If Omicron is more transmissible it's likely this variant will cause Delta cases to fall as Delta will run out of people to infect in a population.
It will look like this, from OG Covid to Delta to Omicron
If you still don't understand it from this then I can't help you but this "replacement" has already happened. Delta is something like 99.9% of cases in the UK. The original covid virus has been replaced and died out.
