So I got a Wikipedia baclink...

I went and edited a page for a low comp keyword variation. There was a reference link to a .org site that no longer exists... I spun the article and dropped it on my site and added my site as a reference in Wikipedia.

It's been there for 2 days now... I'm tempted to go and change the anchor text to "My Keyword" as opposed to "MyKeyword.com" which is currently reads.

Question:
Should I leave it alone and be praying the link remains?
Or should I test my luck and fix the anchor text?

I'd keep it the way it is, no need to draw more attention to the editing section of the history page.

It's great to have links that "stick" on Wikipedia. Don't burn your bridges

I have also a backlink from wikipedia with my targeted anchor, but I can honestly say it has had not the smallest effectin this case (low comp. kw)

I actually got a lot of traffic for a backlink on there until it got removed.

one of the sites I have stuck on wikipedia is on first page of google. i dont know how much it helped though because wikipedia links are all nofollow

Wikipedia might nofollow all links, but there are sites that directly scrape content from Wikipedia and these sites, almost 80% are ********. Besides SEO, wikipedia is good for getting additional traffic.
